Jérmes y Guchi

Created in 2015, these early stone sculptures mark the artist’s initial exploration of the medium. The works have undergone several repairs over the years, a result of viewers attempting to lift the stone purse by its handle during exhibitions. This repeated interaction speaks to the tension between appearance and materiality, highlighting the delicate balance between form, function, and viewer engagement.
