Sonnentanken

'Sonnentanken' transforms the form of a fuel can into a brightly colored object made from fuse beads. The work plays with the contradiction between the tropical image of Puerto Rico as a place of sun and leisure and the island’s fragile energy infrastructure and recurring power outages.
