Fabuloso (Church of Care)

At the center of the exhibition, a small fountain circulates water mixed with lavender-scented Fabuloso—an everyday cleaning product commonly used in Puerto Rican households. The familiar scent fills the space, acting as both olfactory memory and ritual cleanser. What might first read as domestic utility becomes a subtle offering: an altar to labor, lineage, and the unseen rituals of care performed daily, often by women, often unnoticed.
